Peter’s family have farmed in the Peterborough area since the early 1900’s.
Peter commanded an infantry battalion before leaving the TA in 1995. Subsequently he was Chairman of East Anglia Reserve forces and Cadets. He continues his military connection as Chairman of The Royal Anglian Museum at Duxford.
Peter was Chairman of The East of England Agricultural Society and is still actively involved with it.
Peter plays tennis keenly but poorly. There is little he isn’t interested in, and even less that he knows anything about!
Peter was the High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire for 2007/8, and was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire in 1995.
