There is nothing more special to mark a significant date than to receive a congratulatory message from His Majesty The King.
Birthdays
The King will send congratulatory messages for 100th and 105th birthdays, and then every year thereafter.
Wedding Anniversaries
The King will send congratulatory messages for 60th (Diamond), 65th (Blue Sapphire) and 70th (Platinum) wedding anniversaries, and then every year thereafter.
Request a message
To request a congratulatory message from The King , please visit www.gov.uk/get-birthday-anniversary-message-from-king. You should do this at least five weeks before the date, or up to six months afterwards for a belated message.

Lieutenancy visit
Please contact the Lieutenancy Office if you would also like to request a visit from the Lord-Lieutenant or a Deputy Lieutenant. The invitation should be sent well in advance of the significant date.
Other occasions
It may be possible for other events of particular note and significance to be recognised by a message from The King. Please feel free to write directly to The King, who is shown most of his correspondence on a daily basis and takes a keen interest in the letters he receives.
